The Vicious Cycle of judgment
Before I get into this word, I want to do two things. First, I want to point out that “judgment” in the title is lower case on purpose. This is to show that I am talking about our fleshly judgments and not God’s Judgment. Second, I would like to pray before this word. I would like all of us to speak this out loud. If we all speak it out loud, we are covering ourselves against the wiles of the enemy along with any and everyone who will read this.
Father God, let Your words come forth and Your purposes from this word be fulfilled. Allow the Spirit of Truth to enter our being. Holy Spirit, minister to each of us through this word. Let no condemnation fall on any who read this. By the name of Jesus Christ, we pray this. Amen.
This weekend I had a fresh encounter with the Lord. I received fresh revelation that is the beginning of a new season in my relationship with our Lord. I also received emotional healing for something I have been going through since this past summer. After the healing broke through, Holy Spirit began downloading a message to me that I am now passing on to you.
Have you ever noticed how judgment is a vicious cycle? Let me try to explain. How many times have you been judged for something you are or are not either in reality or perceived by you as such? When receiving those judgments, how many times have you fought those judgments with judgment?
“You shouldn’t do that in church.”
“I’m sorry that you don’t have a true relationship with God. You should be more concerned with how you react to God instead of focusing on what I’m doing.”
The above example is the vicious cycle of judgment. Instead of building one another up both parties in the above example have torn each other down and have also torn a brotherly/sisterly relationship with one another. This is the opposite of bringing unity.
Whether you care to admit it or not, we ALL have done something similar to this example to one another. We can dress it up however we want but putting lipstick on a pig doesn’t make that pig a supermodel.
We ALL have faults and flaws. We are ALL in a process of going from Glory to Glory to Glory. We are in a new season that Father God is bringing into the world. He is cleaning His House right now. We ALL must do our part individually then corporately.
The best way to start is to judge our own hearts by the Word and Spirit of the Lord. It is time for us to stop justifying things that we know are in our hearts but go against God. People will always rub us the wrong way. It is our reaction to situations that Father God is looking at. We will be judged with the same judgment we cast on others. Do not ignore the things of God but do not endure the things of the enemy either.
Dear Loves, we are in the season of building the Eternal Temple by the Spirit of the Lord here on earth as He already is in Heaven (let that sentence catch up to you). There are many things that we have allowed to exist that cannot stand in the Presence of God. Let us cut off the vicious cycle of our personal judgments and allow our Lord to do what He does which is to rule and reign over ALL things.
Matthew 7:1-2 – “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
This message is as much for me as it is for anybody.
