The Lord Giveth…
How many of us have heard and have said “The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away”? While this statement is true as far as the sovereignty of God, for us as believers, this statement should not be in our renewed minds.
I will always keep it as real as I can with all of you on here. Lately, my faith has been waning because, yet again, my focus is on some circumstances I have been dealing with and not the Lord. As I cried out to Him this past weekend, He reminded me of something…
Philippians 1:6 – being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ…
Out of His mercy and grace, the Lord does not take away that which He has placed in us. This is not a license to do whatever we want when we want but it shows how much He loves us. That which He placed in each of us individually is for The Body corporately. Who is The Body created for? The Lord Himself. All the gifts and talents He placed in us is for His good pleasure.
Romans 11:29 – For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
Luke 12:32 – “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom…
Ephesians 1:3-6 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
Philippians 2:13 – for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
No matter how others try to make you feel, no matter the lies that have been coming at you for however long, no matter what you have been made to feel about yourself, know this:
Romans 8:37-39 – Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
It is always important to remember the following especially when our focus starts to become skewed in any way and for whatever reasons…
1 John 4:18 – There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
Our Father God Almighty does not work in fear. He is love and He works in love. If any of us have any questions about that we have the choice, the right, and the opportunity (through Jesus) to ask Father Himself any questions we may have. He has answered me and He will answer you. Just come before Him with an honest mind and heart. He loves us beyond what any of us are able to conceive. The Lord gives. The only thing He takes away is our worldly fears, doubts, those things that are not of His will and our sins through the blood of Jesus Christ.
