Peace of God

John 10:10 – The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

The enemy of God has one purpose, to try and separate us from our Lord. He uses many different tactics but that is his ultimate goal. The above verse tells us that Jesus came to not only give us life but that we may have life more abundantly.

The number one tactic for anyone or any being to control someone is through fear. This is the enemy’s number one tactic. The Lord’s number one tactic is through love.

1 John 4:18 – There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. Continue reading

Time To Get Deep

Have you ever known someone (or maybe you yourself) who always waits to fill their gas tank after it is empty? When our tank shows us the empty signal, there is usually still gas in the vehicle. The signal is a warning to avoid us being stranded. Some continue to push the vehicle even after the empty signal has been on for awhile. We use the term “riding on fumes” for this situation.

Doing this once in a while can be ok but making “riding on fumes” a constant habit can eventually destroy the vehicle. Continue reading
