What Comes Before and Supports the spirit of Jezebel?

September 19, 2018

Before we get into the meat of this message there are a few things to go over. This is a long post.

“We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams…” – Willy Wonka from Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory.Ode
By Arthur O’Shaughnessy

We are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers
And sitting by desolate streams;
World losers and world forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.

With wonderful deathless ditties
We build up the world’s great cities.
And out of a fabulous story
We fashion an empire’s glory:
One man with a dream, at pleasure,
Shall go forth and conquer a crown;
And three with a new song’s measure
Can trample an empire down.

We, in the ages lying
In the buried past of the earth,
Built Nineveh with our sighing,
And Babel itself with our mirth;
And o’erthrew them with prophesying
To the old of the new world’s worth;
For each age is a dream that is dying,
Or one that is coming to birth.

There is always a gathering and preparation time before the actual task can even begin. We can all agree on that, correct? I only ask because I am taking you through a journey. If we are believers of the Holy Trinity then we agree that the Word of God is infallible, correct? If that is true then we can agree that…

Jeremiah 17:10 – I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings.

2 Chronicles 16:9 – For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”

1 Corinthians 2:6-16 – However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written:

“Eye has not seen,
nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart
of man The things which God has
prepared for those who love Him.”

10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

Matthew 7:1-2 – “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

Ezekiel 40:1-5 – In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was captured, on the very same day the hand of the Lord was upon me; and He took me there. 2 In the visions of God He took me into the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain; on it toward the south was something like the structure of a city. 3 He took me there, and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze. He had a line of flax and a measuring rod in his hand, and he stood in the gateway. 4 And the man said to me, “Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind on everything I show you; for you were brought here so that I might show them to you. Declare to the house of Israel everything you see.” 5 Now there was a wall all around the outside of the temple. In the man’s hand was a measuring rod six cubits long, each being a cubit and a handbreadth; and he measured the width of the wall structure, one rod; and the height, one rod. . .

By the by, this is my 13th year as a believer. I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart and started the fellowship process (going to a church faithfully) since about 2005. I was baptized Resurrection Sunday of 2006.

Alright. You just made a bunch of choices which will determine where you go from here in your walk with the Lord. You made them in your own mind through your heart by how you reacted (even if only subconsciously) to everything that came before this. No, no, no…read the scriptures laid before you.

Jude 10 – But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves. 11 Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.

Tread lightly and carefully. Know what is in your heart by knowing what is in your mind by paying attention to your thoughts.

Romans 1:21 – Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. (KJV)

Vain definitions:
*Having or showing an excessively high opinion of one’s appearance, abilities, or worth

*Producing no result; useless

*Having no likelihood of fulfilment; empty

*Origins: Middle English (in the sense ‘devoid of real worth’): via Old French from Latin vanus ‘empty, without substance’

“…I’ve got a golden ticket…”

Imagination definitions:
*The faculty or action of forming new ideas, or images or concepts of external objects not present to the senses

*The ability of the mind to be creative or resourceful

*The part of the mind that imagines things

*Origins: Middle English: via Old French from Latin imaginatio(n-), from the verb imaginari ‘picture to oneself’, from imago, imagin- ‘image’

. . . or as I see the word now “Image in nations”!

🤔 😉 🧐 🦋

Here is the meat of this message with tons of other goodies and gravy because we can choose to see it ALL as “gravy, Baby” and “Nobody puts Baby in a corner” (reference to the movie Dirty Dancing). It’s about seeking and finding with our hearts first then testing every spirit through the Word because Holy Spirit searches for the things of God in our heart then lights the path through the Word {have y’all met my best friend yet? He’s awesome and is The Power of God 😉}. The choices then get deeper depending on how far you choose to go in the Lord.

Luke 12:48 – But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

The focus before us is, “What comes before and supports the Spirit of Jezebel?”

1 John 4:1-6 – Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

The entity that comes before and supports the spirit of Jezebel is the spirit of Ahab!

😱 🤯

Proverbs 23:6-8 – Do not eat the bread of a miser, Nor desire his delicacies; 7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you. 8 The morsel you have eaten, you will vomit up, And waste your pleasant words.

Luke 6:45 – A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Psalm 100:1-2 – Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness.

Today is Yom Kippur. It was just Rosh Hashanah so it is now the year 5779 according to Jewish customs. There are 10-days between the new year and The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). In a few days it will be Sukkot (The Feast of Tabernacles) [🏘🦋😉].

Let us now delve into the history of Ahab. . .

Delve definitions:
*Reach inside a receptacle and search for something

*Research or make painstaking enquiries into something

*Dig; excavate

*Origins: Old English delfan ‘dig’, of West Germanic origin; related to Dutch delven.

1 Kings 16:29-31 – In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab the son of Omri became king over Israel; and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years. 30 Now Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, more than all who were before him. 31 And it came to pass, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshiped him.

If you do not know the story of Jezebel to understand the Jezebel spirit, it is in 1 Kings 19. In the church circles I have been around in the past 13 years it is mostly understood that the Jezebel spirit is a spirit that seeks to destroy the call and message of the prophet. This can be from outside and/or from within. Usually it’s a combination starting with the outside environment working inward. With that knowledge we are now seeking what came before her to allow her to be in power and what supported her during her pursuit. The revelation here is that it is the spirit of Ahab who was Jezebel’s husband (two become one works for wicked also).

Isaiah 45:7 – I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things.’

Revelation definitions:
*A surprising and previously unknown fact that has been disclosed to others

*The making known of something that was previously secret or unknown

*Used to emphasize the remarkable quality of someone or something

*The divine or supernatural disclosure to humans of something relating to human existence

*The last book of the New Testament, recounting a divine revelation of the future to St John

*Origins: Middle English (in the theological sense): from Old French, or from late Latin revelatio(n-), from revelare ‘lay bare’ (see reveal). Sense 1 dates from the mid 19th century [reveal origins: Late Middle English: from Old French reveler or Latin revelare, from re- ‘again’ (expressing reversal) + velum ‘veil’]

The Lord warned people of intermarrying not because of race, ethnicity, or beginnings. His warning against it is us knowing another’s heart and having a similar heart and being like-minded with each other because we are first seeking to know His heart and being like-minded with Him (it’s a process).

Ephesians 5:32-33 – This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

There is a discord in the world because there is a discord between the church and Jesus. I have a prophetic calling (search it out and work it out). I have felt and recognized through my spiritual senses what has been and is happening to parts of the Body of Christ which is also what is happening in the world. The world of wonder, awe, and imagination is being stripped and has been in every generation. I strongly think this is why the divisions we are now experiencing in every nation of this entire planet are just about split 50/50 (and every other time in history where the creative minds were attempted to be muted. Those creative minds then fully rebelled against many forms of structure, followed by the world being overwhelmed in discord shown through strife and war, then again followed by a pouring out of some kind of “imagination” both in the world and in the Body of Christ – for example: 1920s, 1930s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s up to now). It is time for everyone to make choices (one way or the other) to test what is in our hearts.

There is more to the Ahab story that is very important.

1 Kings 16:31 – And it came to pass, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshiped him.

“Can’t go back. Gotta go forward to go back.” – Willy Wonka

What were the sins of Jeroboam that angered God? The story is found in 1 Kings 11-13. The message reads that Jeroboam was given an order for the sustaining and maintaining of the nation for generations due to God’s promise to David. He fell into sin (which is our hearts being turned against the Lord) out of fear, the advice he chose to listen to instead of hearing the hearts of the people, building altars in his own strength and not listening to the prophets God sent to him (denying the Power of the Holy Spirit), and marrying Jezebel who had her own set of evils in her heart. There was no fear of the Lord.

Psalm 25:12-15 – Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. 13 He himself shall dwell in prosperity, And his descendants shall inherit the earth. 14 The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant. 15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net.

Psalm 33:8-9 – Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. 9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

Proverbs 9:10-12 – “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.11  For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you. 12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself,And if you scoff, you will bear it alone.”

I believe that everything in the world is either a counterfeit of God or the creation of God (Isaiah 45:7; 1 John 1). He has left us manna and meat to gather in the field that feed us and fulfill us and He continues to drop it from everlasting to everlasting for “those that seek Him early”, continuously, and desire His eternity. He has even given us a command to gather and feed others and not just ourselves. In order to first feed others we must be certain we ourselves are nourished (have our oxygen masks first before trying to help someone else-take the plank out of our own eye before judging another for what’s in theirs-work in progress). The key is we have to do it together. In order for that to happen things must be in accordance to God’s will, strategies, promises, and fulfillment of those promises on an eternal spectrum.

Luke 9:49-52 – And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” 50 But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them. 51 Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them, but His mother kept all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

If Jesus came to earth knowing He was the Truth, then searched it out to teach others, saw Himself in the scriptures because He already knew it was there, knew His purpose, and He is the first fruits among men as well as The Beginning, The End, and the last Adam. . .how much more should we be allowing Him to work through us by whatever means we co-labor individually with Him to accomplish the desires He authored within each book He created as well as supporting each other through the Spirit of God?

1 Corinthians 3:5-17 – Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

Revelation 19:9-10 – Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.” 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

The prophetic has been continuously sought after but not always for the right reasons. God’s purposes will never die because He and everything in Him is eternal. Doubt is bred from fear and fear of and from the world is the exact opposite of fear of the Lord which is proven through the manifestations of the two. There are many many different parts of our Lord and we have not yet come to one accord on what is of God and what is not. This is because we have accepted things without seeking the Lord first. We ALL do it, have done it, and will do it. When the Spirit of Prophecy is shut down (I see it as the fire within the Fire that is God) then the people’s heart become closed to God (believers, double-minded believers, and non-believers). The chastisement starts at the top and trickles to the bottom just as the blessings do. If you are currently experiencing any over exaggerated emotions while reading this (on either end of the scale) that means there is something in your heart that needs to be checked. Recognize what is happening within the world God created for you (which is your body, soul-mind,will,emotions- and spirit). Holy Spirit hovers over the void (darkness; emptiness) waiting for the Word.

Revelation 10 – I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. 2 He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, 3 and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices. 4 Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.”

5 The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven 6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer, 7 but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.

8 Then the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again and said, “Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the earth.” 9 So I went to the angel and said to him, “Give me the little book.” And he said to me, “Take and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth.”

10 Then I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter. 11 And he said to me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.”

John 21:25 –  And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.
