#120: Memories

It’s funny how you can’t remember certain things
But certain things you just can’t forget
Sometimes, those things that you can’t forget
Control your life
They can determine if you’ll have a good day
A tearful day
Or even a bad day
Memories is what I’m talking about

You may not think of them everyday
My memories lately have been my good memories
They put me in a good mood
Nature is what triggers these memories
Whether it is a crystal blue sky
Leaves falling off a tree by a gentle wind
Or just the sun setting in the distance
Nature is a big part of my life
So naturally it would be the trigger of my happy memories
When I’m down, I think of playing on a beach
With Sunset Strip behind me and all the Palm Trees
With my family there with me
The weather is so sweet, springtime
It’s not bright but it’s not dark either
The sky is beautiful with a mixture of oranges
It is a lovely memory
Each memory is different like each Sunset
But most keep me happy in a sad time

#109: Prescious Life

Any day or any night
No one knows but God
Our lives could disappear at any time
A stray bullet or a panicked burglar
No one knows when or how we’ll die
Sometimes God may not even know
A prisoner hanging from a rope
A teen that made blood run from their wrists
An eight year old that shot his best friend
(Not knowing the pain that was to be caused)
At any time, day or night
Our souls could leave our bodies
An old woman whose heart burst in her chest
An old man with a growth in his brain
Making him blind and killing him in the end
When and where?
No one knows when Death will strike
A building being blown up
With thousands of people (parents and children)
An unexpected mass murder
Death lingers above us all
Only God has a clue
Of when it will seize us
My plan is to try to enjoy life
Sure it’s hard with Death calling my name
But Life is short and precious
Make ties that can’t be broken
Even in Death
Death can strike any time, anywhere
And in any way
Before it decides to reach it’s hand to you
Keep your head up and remember you’re alive
Remember that God gave you life
And keeps you alive for some reason
Sometimes Death comes before our time
Because God needs us with Him
Until that day, when everything is black,
Remember how precious Life can BE

#121: LivE in EviL

Evil is what I face everyday
I see it, I feel it within me, and strangely, I love it
Evil comes in different forms
It comes in different forms
It comes in hatred and mockery
Disobedience and lust
It’s present within the foaming gold
It’s face can be seen in all the smoke
It’s presence is felt within every leaf
I like Evil in all these forms
But I’m starting to like life
Life does suck, don’t get me wrong
I now realize that I can help change it
Evil will always be present
It will always remain in me
But something or some soul other than my own
Is pulling me away from the outside Evil
The Evil in Me may end other lives
But it will not end mine
Because my Will is strong
And nothing can destroy me unless I let it
This inside Evil keeps me going
Evil spelled backwards is live
Evil will let me live

Clouds are rolling across the sky with openings to let you know the sun is still there
Even though the sun is setting, you can see the patterns it leaves
All the colors are separated like a box of crayola
The clouds sweep by slowly so you can enjoy the moment
The air is calm with only a slight breeze touching your face
All the creatures of Nature are taking in this moment
Peace is all you can feel
Time is of no importance, like it’s standing still
All I can see is happiness at this point
All I know is Love
Serene is what I am

Revelation 22:1-5 – And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

Nehemiah 9:32-38 – “Now therefore, our God, The great, the mighty, and awesome God, Who keeps covenant and mercy: Do not let all the trouble seem small before You That has come upon us, Our kings and our princes, Our priests and our prophets, Our fathers and on all Your people, From the days of the kings of Assyria until this day. 33 However You are just in all that has befallen us; For You have dealt faithfully, But we have done wickedly. 34 Neither our kings nor our princes, Our priests nor our fathers, Have kept Your law, Nor heeded Your commandments and Your testimonies, With which You testified against them. 35 For they have not served You in their kingdom, Or in the many good things that You gave them, Or in the large and rich land which You set before them; Nor did they turn from their wicked works. 36 “Here we are, servants today! And the land that You gave to our fathers, To eat its fruit and its bounty, Here we are, servants in it! 37 And it yields much increase to the kings You have set over us, Because of our sins; Also they have dominion over our bodies and our cattle At their pleasure; And we are in great distress. 38 “And because of all this, We make a sure covenant and write it; Our leaders, our Levites, and our priests seal it.

Luke 18:9-17 – Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ 13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Jesus Blesses Little Children

15 Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. 17 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”
