My Desire is His Command

“The Bride (Tried by Fire and Bound by God’s Love)”-Alicia R. Shipe

Matthew 14:27-28 – But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” 28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

Notice that Peter said, “…command me to come…”.

To me, that in itself is a bold move to command Lord Jesus to command. Jesus’ reply was “Come.”

There was a line to my left and a line to my right. One lady that was in the line to my left went up to the cash register, left money on the register, and walked out peacefully. A lady that was standing in my line ahead of me stepped off to the left. She was standing in the aisle between the left line and the center line. The man that was moving through the crowd, all of a sudden, came through with a lawnmower. The lady that stepped out of line placed a red, medium-sized purse directly at her feet. The man was trying to cut it down with the lawnmower. She was trying to protect it. That’s all I remember at this time.
