The Body-Part 9 [Conclusion]

The Blood: It’s All About The Blood
(The Circulatory System)

“Blood Vines of the Heart 6”: Digital Art by Alicia R. Shipe

This will be the last bodily system I discuss in this series. The belief of the Word of God and of Jesus Christ (which are the same thing) stems on the belief of His Sacrifice for “whosoever” (meaning anyone who chooses to believe). His blood was poured out for us. Before getting into the Bible passages, let us look at some definitions and the origin for the word ‘circulate’.

Circulate definitions:
*Move or cause to move continuously or freely through a closed system or area.
*Pass or cause to pass from place to place or person to person.

*Late 15th century (as an alchemical term meaning ‘distill something in a closed container, allowing condensed vapor to return to the original liquid’): from Latin circulat- ‘moved in a circular path’, from the verb circulare, from circulus ‘small ring’ (see circle). circulate (sense 1) dates from the mid 17th century.

“To move continuously or freely…to pass from place to place or person to person…”. These definitions aren’t just for the blood in our bodies but for anything that can be circulated (i.e. rumors, news (as in newspapers), data, faith, etc.). I want us to specifically think about the blood and how these definitions go along with it. Somebody chose to take the meaning of the word ‘circulate’ and use it to label the circulatory system. Review the origin again…“moved in a circular path” and/or “small ring”. God’s ways and His way of viewing time and space are not like how we have come to know them. Most of us view time and space as linear. However, I strongly believe God created everything in a circular fashion.

Our hearts pump out the oxygenated blood to go through the arteries to every single space and place within our bodies. Then the depleted blood goes to the lungs to be re-oxygenated before returning to the heart for the next go ‘round. There are also capillaries which are like smaller versions of the veins and arteries. The circulatory system also contains the lymphatic system which contain white blood cells to fight off any foreign objects that be lurking within our bodies.

What I have been trying to show through this series (as with most of my writings) is that God does not do things through happenstance. There is a purpose, reason, and way for everything. For instance, because the capillaries are so small, the blood cells have to move along in single-file mode [You can do your own research on this to see].

The blood, the blood, the blood…The Blood of Christ. It’s all about the blood. It’s always been about the blood. If you are one that has a hard time reading the books of Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, I urge you to pray into it. These books are very important to getting to know the God-Head. There is so much spiritual meat with the guiding of Holy Spirit in these books (just like every other book in the Bible). One cannot believe the Word is infallible and dismiss any part of the Bible including the Old Testament. I also believe we have only begun to scratch the surface of the absolute Truth within the Bible.

Now, for the meat of this message. It is again Bible verses to read but I am believing that Holy Spirit will open each and every one of our eyes to see what He wants each and every one of us to see. We all see the same yet differently. God knows this because He created each and every one of us Himself for His pleasure and purposes “here on earth as it is in Heaven”.

Leviticus 17:11-12 – For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’ 12 Therefore I said to the children of Israel, ‘No one among you shall eat blood, nor shall any stranger who dwells among you eat blood.’

The first plague on the Egyptians was God turning the waters into blood (Exodus 7:14-25).

The tenth and last plague was the death of all firstborn for those who did not have the blood on their door posts. This was the Passover (Exodus 12).

John 6:53-58 – Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

Matthew 13:44 – “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

Acts 20:28 – Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

I will not do a conclusion to this series because I will sum it all here. ANY and EVERY believer is part of The Body of Christ. Remember the word “whosoever”? Exactly. I have personally seen so much division in churches and heard about it recently more than before. This division is not a new thing because it is one of the things that kept me separated from the Lord for so long to begin with. The notion that one person (or group of people) is more important than another or any other always seemed like the opposite of God’s plans to me. Though God calls each and every one of us where He calls us. This does not mean we are to “lord” it over another in a dictatorship type of way. It is my fault for not taking the time in the beginning of my journey to get to know the Lord but I am working on it now. However, “to whom much is given, much is required”. This means if the Lord places you in a high position, you are required to have a deeper sense of faith. I know that seems like a lot but God will not place any of us in such a position without the testing and the journey to ensure we can handle it. He does this not only for His sake but for ours as well.

We sing about it, we preach about it, and we know it. But have we fully grasped the concept that the many places The Blood of Jesus Christ was poured from (starting with the beatings he took before the decision of the crucifixion came) was solely for us to be reconciled to our Father God? Have we grasped the notion that He loves each and every soul that has, is, and will walk on this earth whether they love Him or not? Have we grasped the idea that His Sacrifice was and is for each and every individual (“whosoever”) who chooses to receive and accept Him and all that He is? Nobody is beyond His reach; nobody is beyond His love; nobody is beyond His purpose. Yet we all have to make the choice and learn how to abide in and by that choice to “love the Lord your God” above everything and everyone else.

Yes, we all make mistakes. Just as the circulatory system works the same for the eyeball as it does for the foot, the will and purposes of God including the Lord’s Sacrifice works the same for each and every individual regardless of status or call. The question is how long will the members of The Body of Christ allow the idea or the spirit of entitlement to run rampant? This is for ALL of us. Be careful where you point the finger/blame.

Romans 3:9-26 –

All Have Sinned

9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin. 10 As it is written:“There is none righteous, no, not one; 11 There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. 12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.” 13 “Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”; “The poison of asps is under their lips”; 14 “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.” 15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways; 17 And the way of peace they have not known.” 18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” 19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

God’s Righteousness Through Faith

21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
